Actividades del curso 2016-2017
Yesterday, February 28 gathered at the Student’s Recreation Center: València Acull, Doctors of the World and Open Arms to tell us the precarious situation that thousands of people during the migration.
The purpose of this debate is to inform us about the actions that are carried out, the denunciation of the terrible irregularities of the trip and the increase of the conscience and sensitivity on the subject.
Today at the home of the student of the Team Time Attack UPV presents us his project of hybrid gasoline and electric car that they are realizing. To do this they will have a support at the entrance of the student’s house throughout the day.
The presentation event will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the room of grades 1 of the Student’s Recreation Center where the equipment is presented and the most interesting concepts of the project are explained.
On the 27th and 28th of February, several students from the UPV have met in order to compete by means of oratory and debate in the III TORNEIG DE DEBAT DE LA UPV in valencian.

Disrupting Homophobia

THE UPV AND FICAE AGAINST HOMOPHOBIA.
Film and education. With students from the UPV, in collaboration with the delegations of Students of the UPV and the Casa de l’ALUMNE, it brings us closer to homophobia, more or less visible, but ingrained and not just disappearing.
Therefore we accompany the presentation of the documentary “Homobofia. Diario de las víctimas” (Documentary, 53′, Produced by RTVE, for Documentos TV (Spain, 2016)):

On February 9th, the Erasmus students who started their stay in the second semester at the University of the Basque Country were received at the Student House. Paella and sangria were prepared and the welcome was encouraged with some music.
Wikipedia Spain held an event at the Polytechnic University of Valencia on the edition of articles, specifically worked on the issues related to the role of women in science and technology in the long history.
The event will take place at the Student House on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 10am to 3pm. For this have been edited editors recognized by Wikipedia.

Robots with very limited intelligence struggling to overpower their opponent. The reason: the second edition of Hebocon, a peculiar competition between automatons built with the least possible technology and recycled materials, which will take place on February 10 in the Student’s house.

La Casa del Alumno
The workshop held on December 2 and 16 was taught by students who are members of MakersUPV and was of free assistance for the whole university community.
It was about 8-Bit Mixtape which is a very simple sound generator built around the Arduino-compatible ATtiny microcontroller.
After soldering a few components, it was possible to start programming different sounds and melodies.
The workshop was held in the Student House and MakersUPV provided all the necessary material for the realization of it.
