On the first anniversary of the devastating storm that struck on October 29, 2024, La Casa de l’Alumne wishes to pay tribute, through this exhibition, to the victims of that catastrophe. A heartfelt remembrance for those who are no longer with us, and a call to collective memory to ensure we never forget.
Last Friday, an event organized by the Generación Espontánea group FSUPV Team was held at the Student Recreation Centre, focused on automobile competitions in the category, Formula Student.
At the event, they held the Concept Reveal of their latest prototype with the aim of showing sponsors and university personalities how the development of the new prototype was, the team’s results in past competitions as well as the goals that are set for the future.
The event ended with a meal service so that new members and companies could connect with each other and learn firsthand about our concerns and goals.

Through the photography exhibition “The Food That Unites Us,” the Center for Rural Studies and International Agriculture (CERAI) offers a visual journey through the countries of Senegal, Bolivia, and Cuba. These three countries are united by a common challenge: guaranteeing their communities’ right to sustainable and decent food.
The exhibition can be visited from October 4 to 13, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., at the Student Recreation Centre of the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
Visitors will delve into the daily lives of farmers who work the land in very different contexts, but with a common commitment: to cultivate food that nourishes not only their bodies but also the culture and identity of their people.
The images show the hands that sow, the local markets where producers and consumers meet, and the landscapes that sustain an increasingly threatened agricultural diversity. The exhibition invites us to reflect on food sovereignty and the need to recognize and protect the work of those who make our daily food possible.
The images are by Bolivian photographer Sara Aliaga, Cuban photographer Claudio Peláez, and Spanish photographer Marta Moreiras.
