Last Wednesday, June 1, the awards ceremony of the XII edition of the contest “IDEAS UPV CHALLENGE” took place in the social hall of the Student Recreation Centre.
LGTBIQ+ Pride Day 2022
It is already the month of LGTBIQ+ Pride and the Student Recreation Centre has wanted to join both the support and the demand for the rights of people of the collective.
That is why we wanted to adapt the activity and image of the Student Recreation Centre in the most appropriate way, so that everyone can feel included. Thus, as every year, we have raised the LGTBIQ+ Pride flag on the terrace of the third floor.
In addition, it coincides that the winning work of the annual painting contest of the Student Recreation Centre is related to the LGTBIQ+ collective, and the vindication of the rights of all people, especially those of the collective, regardless of their sexual orientation.

From Monday the 31st to the 17th of June, the selected and awarded works will be exhibited in the hall on the ground floor of La Casa del Alumno.
A period of 10 days is established, from May 31 to June 9, to present arguments against the proposed resolution.

2022 Eurovision Broadcast
Last Saturday 14th, the final of Eurovision 2022 was broadcasted in the social hall of the Student Recreation Centre.
Expo “Itinerarios de cooperación. Una historia de vida y superación en Ghana”
From May 8 to 21 will be available in the hall of the Student Recreation Centre the photographic exhibition “Itinerarios de cooperación. Una historia de vida y superación en Ghana”. In addition, on May 13 at 6:30 p.m there will also be a round table discussion at the Student Recreation Centre (Ximo Mora Room) dealing with topics related to the exhibition.

MayDay Radio LiveShow
On May 5 at 5 p.m., the MayDay Radio LiveShow was held at the Student Recreation Centre, with the participation of different bands that played live music. Here are some pictures and videos of the event.
Fine arts students exhibition “Violencia Vicaria”
From May 2 to 6 there will be an exhibition by Fine Arts students of drawings made by children who have been victims of violence. It will be held in the Ximo Mora room of the Student Recreation Centre from 10am to 6pm each day.
Fire Drill
On April 28, a fire drill was carried out at the Casa del Alumno, which was a great success.
“Responsible Use of Alcohol” Campaign
On June 13, at 13:00 at the Student Recreation Centre, the campaign of responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages will be presented. The following day this campaign will also take place at the Alcoy and Gandia campuses, at 10:30 and 12:00 respectively.
The campaign aims to make students reflect on the effects of excessive and uncontrolled consumption of alcoholic beverages. To this end, three sculptures have been designed to simulate a bottle of whiskey, labeled with messages alluding to the consequences of excessive alcohol consumption.
This campaign will be permanently exhibited on the three campuses of the Universitat Politècnica de València.
