Every year, UPV students have the opportunity to participate in cooperation projects with the PCD, MERIDIES and VALENCIACOOPERA grants from the Centre for Development Cooperation (CDC). This exhibition, aims to put a face to the protagonists of these projects.
The Student Recreation Centre is hosting the exhibition “Itineraries towards Sustainable Development”, which can be visited with free access from 16 to 30 May on the ground floor.
This exhibition is the result of the sixth edition of the workshop “Photography and sculptural heritage of the UPV”, organised from 1 March to 26 April by the UPV Art and Heritage Fund.
The exhibition, curated by Ricardo Ignacio Yusim, Antonio Colomina and Beatriz Doménech, brings together 10 photographs by the students of the workshop. Each of these photographs, of different sculptures from the Museo Campus Escultòric de la UPV (MUCAES), is related to a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) established by the UN, as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of people around the world.
“Inequality has become the greatest global threat and challenge. For many people, to think of inequality and hunger is to think of an impossible challenge, a problem with no solution to which nothing can be done”.
From Manos Unidas, they want to turn this idea around to banish it from our minds and leave the solution in the hands of each one of us. Because when we talk about helping, we all use a common element, our hands, a very powerful and powerful element, both physically and metaphorically, which is the main symbol and essence of our organisation. That is why, with the slogan and the image of this Campaign (“Stopping inequality is in your hands”), they call on society to fight for dignity and promote a world where we are all worth the same and no one is left behind.
Promoted by the AVACOS association, on tuesday 24 of November a day will be organised at the Student Recreation Centre, where free HIV rapid tests will be carried out and information will be provided on the European HIV testing week, aimed at the prevention and promotion of early diagnosis of HIV in young people and informing them about healthier lifestyles.

On Europe Day, every 9 May, we celebrate peace and unity in Europe. This date marks the anniversary of the historic “Schuman Declaration“, in which Schuman set out his idea for a new form of political cooperation in Europe, which would make war between European nations inconceivable. Schuman’s proposal is considered the beginning of what is now the European Union.
The Student Recreation Centre joins in the celebration of this day by raising the EU flag, decorating the building and handing out promotional materials for the day. If you would like to pick up any of these materials, stop by the Student Recreation Centre’s information point, have your photo taken at the photocall and take home a flag, a fan or a sticker.

The Game Jam May 2023 was held on 4 and 5 May at the Casa del Alumno, in the Ximo Mora Room, in collaboration with the ETSINF and CátedraHP and organised by the UPV Videogame Club. This Game Jam is a competition where, divided into multidisciplinary teams, programmers, artists and musicians develop video games in 48 hours.
The typical thing is to set a fantastic theme for them to develop a game, but on this occasion we wanted them to feel at home and the theme of this Game Jam was about the actions we do every day, the “Actions of Everyday Life”. Making the video game the everyday!
The IAESTE VLC 2023 Business Day, organised by the IAESTE students association, has been held today. It is an event where different companies will be able to present their work among us, thus serving IAESTE as a link not only with foreign internship students but also with future Valencian professionals. In addition, during the IAESTE 2023 Business Day, different activities will be combined throughout the day to make the event an enjoyable day that brings the world of work closer to our members.
Mou-te is back, with its sustainable fashion campaign, through which it organised the 2nd Clothing Exchange, open to the entire university community. The exchange, which aims to teach about another type of consumption and demand a change from companies, was held on 25 April on the ground floor of the Student Recreation Centre.
The Coordinadora de Representantes de Estudiantes de Universidades Públicas (CREUP) is the state association representing more than 1,000,000 students.
Currently formed by 36 public universities and constantly growing, 20 years raising the voice of the student body to the competent bodies in higher education both nationally and internationally.
Dinner on the occasion of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of CREUP, as well as the celebration of the LXXIII General Assembly.
