Chocolate on March

On March 11th at 4:30 pm, the traditional Fallas hot chocolate event took place at CALUM, organized by the Student Council. Cups of hot chocolate and fritters were distributed to more than 350 students who were at CALUM or came to enjoy the pre-Fallas snack, all accompanied by Fallas music.

 

CREUP 2026

On March 26, 27, 28 and 01, 2026, the CEUPV hosted the VII CREUP-CRUE Congress and the XV Meeting of CREUP representatives at CALUM, an annual event in which the problems of the university system and the difficulties it faces are worked on and debated.

The opening was attended by the Minister of Universities, the President of CRUE, the President of CREUP, the Regional Secretary of Universities, the Rector
of the UPV and the President of the CEUPV.

The work and debate sessions were held in different spaces of the CALUM, where representatives of student councils from 39 public universities in Spain met as well as different members of the rectoral teams of Spanish universities.

An event of national relevance for the functioning and rights of students at Spanish public universities.

 

 

Mascletà 2026

On March 3, 2026, the university community experienced an intense day in the vicinity of the Student Recreation Centre. The celebration began at noon with an institutional event in which the Falleras Mayores toured the campus accompanied by members of the rectory team and representatives of the Student Council, generating a festive atmosphere from the beginning of the day.
The climax came at 12:00 with the mascletà, which brought together numerous students and university workers. The thunderous sound of gunpowder and the energy of the audience made the act a true display of fallero spirit, filling the environment with emotion and tradition.

The initiative, promoted together with the university fallera community, once again highlighted the involvement of the institution with the dissemination and entrenchment of Valencian customs within the academic sphere.

 

AIPC PANDORA Facilitator Training Hackathon

AIPC Pandora has been held on February 21 in the Ximo Mora hall of the Student Recreation Centre an activity aimed at training and empowering young
people to lead a fair and sustainable world. The activity has developed a simulation of Hackaton: choice and investigation of a theme, definitions,
developments and prototypes.

AIPC Pandora coordinates the organization of programs in more than 60 countries.

 

Microengineers: Awareness Days on Rare Diseases

Today, the UPV Student Hub is hosting Microengineers, a day devoted to raising awareness of rare diseases, aimed at bringing the reality of these low-prevalence conditions closer to the university community.


Throughout the day, speakers, researchers, and people living with these conditions will share their experiences, present their lines of work, and address current challenges in the field of rare diseases. The event blends science, awareness-raising, and personal testimony to foster broader social understanding.
In addition, the sessions are being livestreamed, allowing anyone interested to follow along and take part.
With initiatives like Microengineers, UPV reaffirms its commitment to scientific outreach and to giving visibility to realities which, despite their low incidence, deserve the attention of society as a whole.

 

 

Visionary

The Student Recreation Center at the Universitat Politècnica de València hosted today a talk on the Visionary Project (visionary-project.eu), organized by the Department of Economics and Social Sciences. The session presented the project’s latest progress and its main research lines in social innovation and sustainable development. The team shared preliminary results and best practices, encouraging discussion among students and faculty. The event concluded with an open Q&A session and proposals for future collaboration.

Caferencia

From the Area of Art and Heritage Fund of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, on the occasion of the International Day for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Goods was held at 11:00 in the Student Recreation Centre the conference “Forgotten Patrimonies”.
This day proposes a space for reflection on the forgotten heritage, addressing goods traditionally excluded from the patrimonial narrative. The meeting seeks to make visible these realities, analyze their problems and rethink the concept of cultural property, valuing conservation and restoration as an active discipline committed to society.

 

Welcome Day January 2026

On January 29, 2026, Welcome Day was held in the gardens of the Student Recreation Center.

The ESN team welcomed the new exchange students who will study this second semester.

During the celebration, paella and drinks were distributed and several student associations participated, taking advantage of the opportunity to make themselves known.
